It is located in the Beşiktaş district on the site of the historic İnönü Stadium, which has served as the club's home since 1947. Demolition of Inonu Stadium began in June 2013, and work was temporarily halted due to the discovery of archaeological finds, but construction resumed after an inspection.

The stadium was officially opened on April 10, 2016, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in attendance. The arena opened to the general public the following day with a 3-2 Besiktas-Bursaspor match. The stadium has a capacity of approximately 42,684 spectators and a field size of 105 x 68 meters. The structure includes all-seater seating and a lightweight membrane-covered cable roof (260 tons of cable and 246 prefabricated structures).

The stadium has 144 VIP boxes and Box 1903 for 1,903 spectators, a 600-space VIP parking lot, restaurants, and terrace restaurants with a total area of ​​over 4,600 m².
